Frederick Deryl Bradley

Frederick "Fred" Deryl Bradley (born September 17, 1949) is a former provincial level politician. He served as member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta from 1975 to 1993. He also served in the cabinet as Minister of the Environment from 1982 to 1986. under the governments of Premier Peter Lougheed and Don Getty.
==Political career==
Bradley ran as a Progressive Conservative candidate in the 1975 Alberta general election. He defeated Incumbent Social Credit MLA Charles Drain and two other candidates to win his first term in office. Bradley was elected winning a slightly larger plurality to earn his second term in the 1979 Alberta general election. Bradley was re-elected in the 1982 Alberta general election with the largest plurality of his political career. After the election Premier Peter Lougheed appointed Bradley to be the new Minister of Environment. He kept his portfolio when Don Getty became Premier in 1985.
Bradley ran for a fourth term in office in the 1986 Alberta general election. He ran in a two way race against New Democrat candidate Mike Cooper for the second time. Bradley held onto the district by 186 votes and winning 51.5% of the popular vote. After the election he was appointed Chairman of the Alberta Research Council. He ran against Cooper for a third time in the 1989 Alberta general election, this time winning a more comfortable margin of victory. Bradley retired at dissolution of the Assembly in 1993.
Bradley was appointed to serve on the first board of directors for the Alberta Association of Former MLAs by Speaker Ken Kowalski.
